Angelo Cross
Director of Enrichment

Angelo Cross is the Director of Enrichment at Mildred Osborne. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Union College in Schenectady, NY and a M.Ed in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. He joined Crescent City Schools in 2014 where he oversaw family engagement initiatives, community partnerships, alumni relations, and 8th grade high school transition at Harriet Tubman Charter. During his tenure at Harriet Tubman, Angelo served in different capacities from managing the Enrichment to leading and managing the school’s personalized enrichment program (PEP) or club offerings which assisted the school receiving higher Interest and Opportunity Scores in their SPS score. He taught intervention, managed and supported extracurriculars, and even assisted the launch of the Crescent City Sport League as a Commissioner. Angelo also supported the school’s campus culture by supporting the elementary staff and middle school staff with weekly community circle plans and structure that allow teachers and students to build community, recognize achievement, and optimism for learning and positive personal growth and responsibility. Angelo believes in creating a learning community and space that allows students to bring their best and genuine selves to school each day. Angelo has a wife who supports him in this work and two boys, Basil and Emerson, who remind him to focus on work life balance. When he’s not working you can find Angelo reading a graphic novel, watching Marvel movies, or exploring a creative hobby like film, acting, or visual arts.
