Jen Powers
Director of Intervention

Jen Powers is the Director of Intervention at Mildred Osborne Charter School. Jen graduated from the University of Illinois with a degree in International Studies and Political Science. Following graduation, Jen moved to New Orleans with Teach for America and taught special education in St. James Parish. Since her initial placement, Jen has continued her work with student support as a special education teacher, Response to Intervention Coordinator, and Director of Student Support Services.
Over the last 13 years, Jen has worked with educators to ensure all students are given equitable access to grade level curriculum and social-emotional supports. Her work in education is deeply rooted in the belief that all students are capable of achieving great things when teachers,staff, families, and the community work together to support their academic, social, and behavioral needs.
