Melissa Singley is a dedicated professional with a passion for education and a commitment to serving students with special needs. With over 17 years of experience in education, she has established herself as a leader for inclusive education practices.
Melissa holds a degree in Early Childhood Development from the University of Southern Mississippi. She later obtained certifications in Special Education and English Language Learners. Her academic background, along with her hands-on experience, has equipped her with a great understanding of the unique challenges faced by students with special needs.
Throughout her career, she has held various positions within the education system, gaining knowledge and expertise in special education policies and best practices. She has served as a general education kindergarten teacher, special education teacher, reading interventionist, 504/EL Coordinator, and Dean of Special Education, which allowed her to support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.
Melissa’s approach to special education is characterized by her commitment to inclusivity, equity, and empowerment. She believes in creating learning environments where all students can thrive, regardless of their abilities and disabilities.
