Shea Turner

Shea is now in her 11th year in education. Shea began her journey as an AmeriCorps tutor in 2015 after graduating from the University of New Orleans. She has since taught middle and high school English Language Arts and served as a mentor teacher, academic department chair, and instructional coach. Shea is passionate about supporting teachers through meaningful coaching and curriculum development to drive strong academic outcomes for students. A proud New Orleans native and mother, she is deeply committed to the educational success of the city’s youth. Outside of work, Shea enjoys traveling and is an active member of her Mardi Gras krewe, contributing to community service and cultural celebration year-round.
